Booze by Design - Texas Keeper Ciderweizen

Texas Keeper Cider Weizen

I've never really been a huge cider fan, but since moving to Austin I keep seeing Texas Keeper Cider. They not only have great labels, but do a lot of unique ciders. Blending wine grapes and using beer methods to create unique ciders.

I decided to try their cider weizen, a cider style beer. I like that the label has an outline of the glass ware they recommend. The label also describes the color of the drink, which is right on track.

The cider tastes very light, which is quite refreshing and unexpected from a higher alcohol beverage. The smell is clean and there is a balanced amount of carbonation that helps give it a  crisp finish. It is quite good, tasting like a try "bone" dry beverage.

The design does a good job of looking rustic and homemade, yet modern. Cleans lines, and a modern sans-serif blend nicely with the texture background and simple illustration.
