Booze by Design - Baerlic Brewing Invincible IPA

Invincible IPA

Baerlic Brewing is another great brewery located in Oregon. They have a solid selection of PNW beers along with thought out, modern design. The type choice is strong yet playful and I find the simple color palette of black and white along with a specific color that identifies which beer it is a nice idea.

While most of us know the styles of beer we like, maybe more so than wine, I still think it is smart to give a little info on the label of the characteristics of the beverage, esp. when it looks good.

The hop nose is fresh and unmistakeable, as if the cones went straight from vine to bottle. A well balanced northwest style IPA with a prominent malty back bone. The color is a hazy caramel hue common to Pale Ales or lighter IPAs. At 6.6 ABV it won't knock your socks off, making it a perfect choice for a Sunday afternoon.

Also love the Oregon stamp. As a beer loving native Oregonian, this feels true to my heart.
