Booze by Design - 2016 Capuchon White Blend

IMG_1778.jpg

Capuchon is a label under the online wine club membership brand Winc. This french style blend of whites interested me because the winery I once worked at in Southern Oregon grew Roussane which I know isn't a popular varietal here in the US. I am also a fan of Viognier so I thought I would give it a chance.

On the Eyes - Light to medium yellow. Decent legs.

On the Nose - Fruit and florals. Meyer lemon zest. Pear.

On the Tongue - Medium bodied. Minerality, with slight sweetness.

Other Notes - Perfect white for the end of summer or fall. Great for sipping outdoors and pairs well with squash and other vegitarian dishes and fragrant cheeses.
