Booze by Design - La Posta Armando Bonarda

La Posta Wines is a wine group based in Argentina that focuses on different growers producing excellent wines. This Bonarda tastes full of ripe fruit with higher tannins and a good heavy taste that doesn't feel too overpowering. Bonarda is the second most popular grape grown in the Mendoza region of Argentina. The first being Malbec of course. The Armando family planted their current Bonarda vineyard in 1963 giving way to some excellent old vine grapes. 

While this wine tastes great and I love the story behind the brand, I also love, love, love the label graphics. It's modern but still feels like it has an old world charm. This great branding was done by Austin, TX designer Jose Canales. The typography is beautiful and the hierarchy is right on with the brand, giving prevalence to the growers and having the wine varietal bold, yet not the main feature.
